Hussar Towarzysz of the Royal hussar company, Poland, the beginning of the XVII century.
At the heart of the royal guard was a hussar formation. This unit has for decades been misnamed as the "Royal hussar company": its correct name is the "Company of Courtiers" (Choragiew Dworzanska).
